Authentic Conversations about Authentic Music
For a small town on the edge of a swamp in southeast Georgia, Waycross has produced a remarkable cadre of talented musicians. On this podcast, hosts Dave and Sean - a pair of artists with considerable singer-songwriter chops themselves - bring a wealth of knowledge about the local and regional music scene, both past and present. These guys, and typically whatever guest(s) they happen to have on, are so down to earth and easygoing, a listener/viewer can easily imagine the conversation is taking place in his or her own living room. It simply feels like a group of friends shooting the breeze about music, local culture and whatever other topic a rabbit trail might lead to. Often the music discussed is the wide-ranging genre that goes by many names including Americana, roots, alt-country or what one Waycross favorite son, Gram Parsons, called Cosmic American Music. Whatever you want to call it, it’s honest … real … authentic - just like the guys that bring it to you on “Something in the Water.”
