Ep. 23 - Josh Kirkland
From Waycross, Georgia comes Josh Kirkland, one of the finest guitarists in the South. His blistering lead guitar work has established him as a legendary figure in these parts and delighted folks around the country who were privileged to see his authentic tribute showcase to Stevie Ray Vaughan back in the day. Like all the wonderful blues predecessors before him, Josh has battled his share of adversities over the years as he continues to nurture and carve out his spot among regional guitar players. We put him right up there as one of the best in the world. We like to call him...“King” Kirkland. After you listen to him play on Episode 23: Something In The Water, we think you’ll agree. Cohosts Sean Clark and Uncle Dave Griffin introduce their original demo, “Drug For Me”, inspired by an idea from James Cocke of Valdosta, Georgia, and soon-to-be released on their upcoming Waycross Stagecoach recording project.
