Ep. 32 - Bill McIntosh
Bill McIntosh sits in the guest chair for Episode 32 of Something In The Water, sponsored by Tipsy McSway’s Neighborhood Bar and Grill at 1414 Newcastle Street in Brunswick, Georgia. Born in Waycross, Georgia and raised up for most of his childhood in neighboring Douglas, Bill is a talented musician, former band director, author, and music historian. He has played on cruise ships, in jazz orchestras, and as a “Taps” bugler at Arlington National Cemetery. He’s had a rich musical history performing in local bands, including the group, Sledgehammer, who along with cohost Uncle Dave Griffin, twice backed up soul legend, Percy Sledge, in 2001. Bill’s exhaustive research and this episode’s Tail of the Weak lead the conversation to the history of the legendary Waycross City Auditorium and the stars who graced its stage through the years.
