Ep. 40 - Anders Thomsen
“There’s no place I don’t want to go.” So states our Episode 40 guest, Anders Thomsen, original songwriter-lead guitarist-guitar maker...and it sure seems that way. Born and raised in Lansing, Michigan, following high school he made his way to New York City, California, and Texas, finally settling outside of Savannah in Bloomingdale, Georgia. Son of parents who ran a theater and promoted plays, he’s a family man himself with a wife and daughter. Anders’ musical influences range from James Burton (Rick Nelson, Elvis, Gram Parsons) and Pete Anderson (Dwight Yoakam) to Ted Nugent and Chuck Berry, who he backed up five times over the years. The original songwriter shares two of his compositions, “Honky Tonk Song On The Internet” and “Money Honey”, that’ll both have you toe-tappin’ and smilin’ along. Check out his website at bookanders.com and I think you’ll agree with us here on Something In The Water. He’s clean, well-spoken, even-keeled...and he wears a cowboy hat, shirt, and boots really well for a Great Laker! Thanks for watching and make sure you visit our fine sponsor, SoGlo Guitar Gallery and SoGlo Custom Guitars, 509 Gloucester Street in downtown Brunswick, Georgia.
